Got hard waste?

We're at your service!

People can arrange a hard waste or branch and pruning collection at a time which is convenient for them, not a time set by Council.

Cr Narelle Sharpe

From October, residents will be able to request hard waste or branch and pruning collections at a time that suits them.

Council has endorsed a new `at call’ service which will give each household access to two collections per financial year, or one only larger collection.

Waste will be collected within 10 working days from the date of the request, or you can even book a collection in advance.

Mayor Cr Narelle Sharpe has thanked ratepayers for their patience.

“This means our streets won’t be littered with huge piles of hard waste as has been the case in previous years.”

The service applies to dwellings that pay the annual Waste Service charge. Businesses and residential properties with a private waste collection are not eligible.

Residents are still encouraged to consider whether they can reuse, repurpose or recycle anything they are planning to throw away.
