Check out the new pavilion!

The Essendon Doutta Stars Football Club is the latest to celebrate the opening of a brand new pavilion.

The redevelopment works at Buckley Park by Alchemy Construct include the construction of new home and away change rooms, a new pergola with tiered spectator seating, upgrades to the first aid and umpire rooms and freshly spruced facilities for all who use the club. The project was overseen by Moonee Valley locals.

It’s hoped the new facilities will support the rising participation rates of woman and girls in local football and ensure our local facilities provide adequate facilities for both men and women.

Mayor Cr Narelle Sharpe and Cr Richard Lawrence helped officially open the pavilion with members and supporters and Neighbourhood Engagement Officer, Tiffany Scott, attended the function and asked club members what they love most about the Niddrie/Essendon West neighbourhood. Responses included playing football, being able to walk to Keilor Road, pretty parks, lots of sporting opportunities, and `everyone knows everyone’.
